While in Lhasa, you will visit many important Monasteries including Shera and Drepung Monastery and palaces like Potala Palace and Norbulinga Palace.
You have to pass through brown rolling hills, wrecked forts, artistic monasteries and ancient caravan trails before reaching to Everest Base Camp from Tibet. While in Everest Base Camp, you will get a good view of the glacier of Ronbuk and the splendid view of northern face of Mount Everest. In the end, you will set off from Everest Base Camp in the best Land Cruiser 4WD through the paved countryside road.

Day 01: Arrival in Lhasa (3650m)
About 70 minutes of flight from Kathmandu through the Trans Himalayan route -one of the finest routes in the world should be able to take you to Lhasa. There, at airport, a local guide will receive you and after 40minutes of drive, you will be taken to your hotel in Lhasa.

Day 02: Lhasa Tour
This day, you will explore the sites in Lhasa. You will visit Monastery of Shera, Norbulinga Palace- the summer house of Dalai Lama and Jokhang Temple- a spiritual centre of Tibetan Village. You will then follow the pilgrimage circuit around the ancient streets of the old city near the Barkhor market and return to hotel.

Day 03: Another day of sightseeing in Lhasa
Early in the morning of third day, you will explore the Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery. The 17th century Potala Palace offers a breathtaking view across the city and also has private rooms of the Dalai Lama, many large state rooms and chapels. Later, you will visit Drepung -one of the largest monasteries in Tibet which was built in the 14th century and which used to shelter around 10,000 monks.

Day 04: Drive to Gyantse (3950m)
On the 4th day, you will drive total distance of 216km from Lhasa to Gyantse. You will pass through breathtaking views of glaciers, high altitude lakes, high passes, beautiful Tibetan and outstanding Tibetan hills before reaching to Gyantse. You will stay overnight in Gyantse.

Day 05: Sightseeing in Gyantse and drive to Shigatse (3900m)
While in Gyantse, you will visit Gyantse Dzong and Kumbum. Gyantse Dzong is a 14th century Tibetan fort from where we can see the breathtaking views of the town of Gyantse. Kumbum has a large gold-domed Stupa and houses several chapels and Tibetan Buddhist murals. Later, you will drive to Shigatse- the second largest city in Tibet which is about 90 kilometers from Lhasa. Here you will visit the largest operating monastery in Tibet- the Tashilhunpo Monastery. You will stay in hotel at Shigatse.

Day 06: Move to Tingri (4350m)
Early in the morning, we will begin our journey from Shigatse. You will visit beyond Lhatse and cross the high pass- Gyamtso-La (5220m). You will then descend from mountain and pass through monasteries and camps of nomadic herders before finally arriving to Tingri. You will stay overnight in hotel at Tingri. En route, you will visit Sakya Monastery.

Day 07: Trek to Everest Base Camp (EBC)
You will begin the journey for this day by following a trail through the plains of Dingri (14,400 feet) which will lead all the way to Ronbuk Monastery (16,350 feet). You will then ascend to Everest Base Camp (16,900 feet). Later you will travel along Ra Chhu stream and pass through the village of Lungjhang (14,900 feet). You will stay overnight in camp.

Day 08: Trek to Lamna-La drokpa
Early in the sunshine, you will begin your journey by continuing to walk along the route and pass through small camps. Below the camps lies Lamna La drokpa (15,600 feet).

Day 09: Trek to Zommug
This day, we will climb up the Lamna (16,900 feet) with Gyachung Kang and Cho Oyu to the south and descend to Zommug(15,700 feet). Zommug is the highest permanent settlement in the Everest region and also is an animal breeding center and a supply center for the yaks used on Everest expeditions. You will spend night here.

Day 10: Back to the Ronbuk
On the tenth day, you will head to south of Zommug and visit the famous Dza Rongbuk monastery built by Tenzin Norbu Dzatrul in early 1901 to 1902. Later, you will return to Ronbuk.

Day 11: Back to Everest Base Camp
Everest Base Camp (16,900 feet) and Ronbuk Glacier are approximately 2-3 hours over the Ronbuk monastery. The route passes through the caves of retirement, the ruins of the nunnery of Sherab Chholing and rapid flow of Dzaka Chu. Just before the end of the Ronguk Glacier is the base camp of Everest. You will stay overnight at Everest Base Camp in a tented camp.

Day 12: Departure from Ronbuk
After having lunch, you will drive through village of Chhosang to reach to high pass Pang la at Phadrukchi. Later, you will follow the trail through Phung Chhu to reach Tingri. You will stay overnight in camp at Ronbuk.

Day 13: Trek to Zhangmu
Today’s journey will take you through the plain of Tingri to the high plateau of Tibet which will continue on to the trade town Nylam in Zhangmu. Zhangmu is the border city. En route, you will visit Milarepa Cave where Tibet's greatest yogi Milarepa meditated 11th century. You will stay overnight in Zhangmu Hotel.

Day 14: Return to Kathmandu:
This day marks the end of 14-day long travel package. You will drive until Friendship Bridge over the River Bhote Koshi which separates Tibet from Nepal and which is near to Zhangmu. After entering Nepal, you will continue driving for another 5hrs till you arrive in Kathmandu. You will then be taken to Hotel in Kathmandu.
