Three pass trekking

Everest three pass trekking is a wonderful trekking itinerary in the region of Everest which also includes some of the popular and tough passes in the region. The three passes which you come across during the trek are Kongma-La Pass, Cho-La Pass and Renjo-La Pass. The trail to the three pass trekking takes you to the Kongma La, Cho La and Renjo La Pass moving towards the higher elevation. Besides, the trekkers will also have the opportunity to enjoy trekking in the Everest region and will also come across some of the popular places in Everest like Namche, Thame and Kala Patthar, also known as the Everest Base Camp. Everest three pass trekking is generally tough in nature as you have to cross the passes all of which are above 5000 meters of altitude.
Some of the major attractions of the Everest three pass trekking are the places you come across during the course of the trek. The places include the region of Kalapatthar, Gokyo Valley along with its beautiful lake and the Gokyo peak also called as the Gokyo Ri. Everest High Pass and three passes trekking satisfies the desire of every trekker who intends to trek and explore along the region of Everest and at the same time who also wants to enjoy the wonderful views of the tall mountains of the Everest region.
Everest three pass trekking (Kongma-La, Cho La and Renjo-La Pass) starts from the Capital city of Kathmandu when you take a mountain flight to Lukla, flying above the mountains and enjoying the 30 minutes of flight. Upon landing at the Lukla Airport, your real journey starts when you start hiking to Phakding and Namche Bazaar. It is a long itinerary lasting for more than 20 days.

Day 01–Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our team members and representatives and then be transferred to the Hotel where you will be briefed in short about the travel itinerary. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and trek preparation
On the second day of the itinerary, you will be making preparations for the trek and also secure permission for the trekking and Peak Climbing from the government agency. Then you will sightsee around the Kathmandu Valley which is rich in its culture, art and sculpture. You will be visiting the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur including other temples and monuments and other heritages which have been enlisted in the UNESCO Word Heritage list. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 03: Flight to Lukla, Trek to Phakding (2652m)
On the third morning, you will take a flight from Kathmandu to the Lukla Airport, alternately also known as the Tenzing-Hillary Airport. The 30 minutes of mountain flight to Lukla will be refreshing as you will fly above the mountains and finally land at the Lukla Airport. Also, Lukla Airport is considered as one of the most dangerous airports in the world. After landing at Lukla, you will take light breakfast and start your trek. In around 3 hours, you will reach Phakding village where you will be staying overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
You will resume your trek on the fourth morning after having breakfast at Phakding. You will then follow the trail along the Dudh Koshi River while ascending through the Himalayan Pine and Deodar forests. After few hours of trekking, you will reach the destination for the day which is the popular village of Namche Bazaar in the Everest region. Namche Bazaar is popular among both Nepali and Tibetan traders as it has been a historic trading point since hundreds of years. It is also known as the gateway to Everest. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Namche.

Day 05: Trek to Khumjung (3780m) back to Namche
Though this is an acclimatization day you will head to Khumjung after having a breakfast. Here, the trail rise up and will arrive to Syangboche where you will have a look of Taboche Peak. As you reach Khumjung (3780m) you will be requested to have a glace towards the Hillary school. On this day you will be hiking for a long day and trekking Khumjung you will again back to Namche as it is the main entrance point for Everest Region. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 06: Trek to Tengboche (3860m)
Tengboche (3860m) is also considered as a religious hub of the Khumbu region of Everest. The trek to Tengboche is again not an easy trek as you have to ascend an elongated trail. But as you finished your trek you will get to view Mount Amadablam, Mount Everest and its neighboring peaks. So, this will be your another exciting trek at Tengboche. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 07: Trek to Dingboche (4410m)
Dingboche (4410m), the summer valley help you by providing the most excellent views of Ama Dablam on the way to it. As you entrance in Dingboche, you will like the attractive array of fields which is enclosed by stone walls to protect Barley, Buckwheat and Potatoes planted in Dingboche. It is very well to be familiar that you are sanctified with the incredible view of Island Peak, Makalu and the other side of Amadablam. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek to Chhukung (4700m)
On the 8th day you will ascend from Dingboche to Chhukung (4700m) after having breakfast. As you get in Chhukung you will soon realize how beautifully Nepal, is gifted by the nature. Trekking to chhukung you will take some rest as you will hike to Chhukung Ri on the next day. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 09: Cross Kongma La Pass (5500m)
On the 9th day of the itinerary, you will move from Chhukung to Kongma La Pass. Kongma La Pass is situated at an altitude of 5500 meters and you will have to walk rather strenuously as it is not that easy to cross the Pass. After several hours of hiking, you will finally reach the Pass and then cross it while enjoying the natural scenery while crossing the Pass. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 10: Trek to Lobuche (4910m)
After crossing the Pass, you will then descend down to Lobuche after few hours of downhill climbing. Lobuche is located at an altitude of 4910 meters and while on the way to Lobuche, you will come across many glaciers and lakes. Lobuche also allows the glorious views of the mountain peaks like Cholatse, Nuptse and Pumori. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 11: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5400m), back to Gorakshep (5181m)
Gorakhshep is an interesting destination on the 11th day as you resume your trek from Lobuche after having breakfast in the morning. It is situated at around 5164 meters of altitude and you will reach there after first reaching the Everest Base Camp. Everest Base Camp is a very popular region in the Everest and you will be blessed with some great views of the Himalayan Mountains. Gorakshep is also the residential territory for large number of ravens. Gorakhshep is the final village before you enter into the territory of the Mount Everest. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 12: Hike to Kalapattar (5545m)
The next day, you will be hiking to Kalapatthar from the Gorakshep and will start early in the day after having breakfast at the guesthouse. The clear and bright weather is the positive part to climb the Kalapathar (5545m) and is the highlight of the trip as well. You will be rewarded with 360 degrees spectacular views of Mount Everest and surrounding mountains and will back to Gorakshep. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 13: Trek to Dragnak/ Thangnak via Cho La Pass (5370m)
On the 13th day you will take a gradual downfall from Dzongla towards Dragnak by crossing the Cho La Pass (5370m). It will be an interesting and an adventurous day as you will cross the Cho La Pass which is one of the popular passes of the region. After crossing the Pass, you will then move downward to Thangnak (4500m). Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 14: Trek to Gokyo Lake (4790m)
Descending further from Thangnak, you will now be trekking to the amazing and beautiful valley of Gokyo on the 14th day of the itinerary. Gokyo Valley is a very popular place in the Everest trekking itinerary for the natural beauty of the Gokyo Valley, Gokyo Lake and also the Gokyo Peak also called as Gokyo Ri. After reaching the Valley, you can explore around the region, take pictures of the Himalayas. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 15: Hike to Gokyo Ri back to Gokyo Lake
On the 15th day you will ascend to the upper part of Gokyo Ri (5483m), enjoying the amazing views of the excellent Gokyo Valley, the huge Ngozumpa Glacier and remaining fabulous panoramic view of an entire Khumbu Himalayas along with Everest and Makalu etc. After hiking to the Gokyo Ri, you will again return back to the Gokyo lake. Overnight stay in a tented camp.

Day 16: Trek to Lunden (4300m)
On the 16th day you will descend to Lunden (4300m) from Gokyo Ri. On your way to Lunden, you will cross the Renjo La Pass (5340m) which is another important and popular Pass in the region. After crossing the Pass, you will walk for few more hours and reach Lunden. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 17: Trek to Thame (3800m)
The following day, you will descend to Thame (3800m), where you can observe many amazing mountain peaks which are covered with white snow. In Thame you can also explore the monastery called as the Thame Monastery which is designed with a pleasing style. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 18: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
On the following day you will trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m) from Thame. Namche Bazaar is a well known destination both for Nepali as well as Tibetan traders and trekkers. Many trekkers spend a night here before embarking on the Everest Base Camp trip or the expedition trip. You can even buy hand made things crafted by the local people. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 19: Trek to Lukla (2800m)
On the 19th day, you will climb further down from Namche and make your way towards Lukla. It will take around 4-5 hours before you reach Lukla. After reaching Lukla, you will be staying overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 20: Flight to Kathmandu (1310m)
On the second last day of the tour package, you will take a flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla enjoying the mountain flight. The rest of the time in Kathmandu, you will be shopping and buying souvenirs to your loved ones. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 21: Departure!!!!
On the last day of the itinerary tour package, you will be transferred to the International Airport in Kathmandu fro where you will take a flight back to your home country.
