Simikot Kailash Trek Tour is a 30-day long package that takes you to the tour of secret land of Mount Kailash. Simikot Kailash Trek Tour initiates from the prime route connected to the far western remote region of Nepal and then continues through series of ups and downs to the holy destinations which is important pilgrimage destinations along with Kailash and Lake Manosarovar.
Simikot Kailash Trek tour will let you through ruins of Tsaparang, the capital of ancient kingdom of Guge and then continue the pilgrims from all over to follow the trail (Parikrama) across the Dolma La (5600m), which is adorned with countless prayer flags.

While on the way to Simikot Kailash Trek Tour, you will pass through countless beautiful landscapes in the Himalayas and have a view of Gosul Gompa and then cross the lake to drive through the canyon of the Sutlej.
After visiting Manasarovar, you will continue your journey to Lhasa and then return to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and take you to our hotel. After a little freshening, you will get a briefing about the schedule. You will then have rest. You will find our team members ready to assist you in preparing for your trek.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
On the second day, you will be taken out for an excursion to some of the chief sites in and around Kathmandu. You will be visiting the monuments, temples including Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath and Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur, all enlisted in the UNESCO world heritage site. After sightseeing, you will then return back to the hotel.

Day 03: Flight to Nepalgunj
It takes about an hour-long flight to land at Nepalgunj- the hub of Western Nepal and an important city lying close to the Indian Border in Western Terai, from the capital city of Kathmandu. You will stay in Nepalgunj overnight.

Day 04: Flight to Simikot, trek to Dharapani Camp
Early in the morning, we will fly to the north of Nepalgunj for about 50 minutes to reach Simikot- the headquarters of Humla. Our trekking begins from Simikot. We will pass through rocky path and fields of barley and wheat before ascending to the forged ridge above the town of Simikot before descending to Dandaphoya. We will continue the journey on till we reach to village of Dhara Pokhari where we will spend night.

Day 05: Trek to Kermi
Early in the 5th day, we will begin the journey from Dhara Pokhari and follow the route through steep slope to river. After crossing the waterfall near the shepherd’s camp at Chachera, we will clamber up to Kermi- a small village. We will stay overnight in Kermi.

Day 06: Trek to Yalbang
After having breakfast, we will leave Kermi and enter a big valley. We will pass through fields of potato and buckwheat and cross through pine forests before lowering down to Salli Khola. We will cross Salli Khola and cross another ridge to reach a meadow. A little far from the meadow is situated Yalbang Village where we will spend our night.

Day 07: Trek to Muchu
This day, we will follow the trail to the bottom of hill and then we will climb up the notoriously steep hill. We will then lower down to reach to a suspension bridge over Karnali River. We will cross the bridge to finally make it to the village of Muchu where we will spend the night.

Day 08: Trek to Yari
From Muchu, we will pursue the course over a ridge to Tumkot Khola and move along the rocky path before ascending through a rock-filled gully. We will then move forward to Palbang and cross mustard fields before finally arriving to the village of Yari. We will spend our night in Yari.

Day 09: Trek to Sipsip
On the 9th day of Simikot Kailash Tour, we will leave the village of Yari and follow the route all the way up to a valley. A little far from the valley is located Nara Lagna- a pass. We will lower down from the pass and make it to a meadow which goes by the name of Sipsip. We will pitch our camp on this meadow- Sipsip.

Day 10: Trek to Taklakot
From Sipsip, we will follow the track upto Nara Lagna pass and then descend to village of Ranipauwa. We will then move further to Karnali River and then cross Nepal- Tibet border. We will then drive past Khojar Nath temple to Taklakot which is the large trading centre of west Nepal Tibet border.

Day 11: Drive to visit Manosarovar

Today, you will drive all the way to Mansarovar (14950 ft/4558m) - the largest freshwater lake with turquoise complexion in the world is full of fish and swans. The region is considered rich in gold and other mines, hot springs and hundreds of wild living. You will stay for the night in a camp in bank of Manasarovar Lake.

Day 12: Trek to Darchen
After completing the memorable morning bath and Pooja on Holy Lake Manasarovar, you will continue your journey to Tarchen (Darchen). If time allows, you will visit Chui Gompa. Tarchen is considered as a base camp for Holy Kailash Parikrama.

Day 13: Trek to Dirupak
After breakfast, you will head towards Tarboche - initial point of Kailash Parikrama which is also known as outside "Asthapath". You will take a brief rest at Tarboche and then walk walk a distance of 7km in 7 hrs time along the beautiful rocky cliffs and waterfalls to finally reach Dirupak.

Day 14: Trek to Zuthulpuk
Today, you will pass through High Pass Dolma-La (18,600 ft) before descending gradually to Zuthulpuk (4760m). Yama-Sthal must be crossed to reach the Shiva-Stahl, while their steps go closer to the pass.
You will undergo through the toughest walk today. Once you reach the top, you can perform holiest offering and practice meditation. Lowering down, you will reach Parvati-Sthal and Gauri Kunda. By late afternoon, you will reach Zuthulpuk.

Day 15: Trek and drive to Tirthapuri
This day will complete the circumambulation (parikrama) of Mount Kailash and thus the Tirthapuri will come to end. We will then walk for 3hrs before driving can be done.
Day 16: Trek to Toling

Early in the morning, we will follow the path through series of ups and downs before we reach to Toling which is a town located to the west of Tibet. The town is well equipped with modern facilities like telephone and internet. We will stay in Toling overnight.

Day 17: Visit Tsaparang
We will leave Toling early in the morning to head for Tsaparang which used to be the capital of ancient kingdom of Guge in Garuda Valley. Tsaparang is located 26km to the west of 11th century monastery at Tholing.

Day 18: Drive to Ali/Shiquqn
Ali Shiquqn will be our next destination. We will drive towards it early in the morning. We will pass through rocky beds and sand dunes before arriving to Ali/ Shiquqn where we will stay overnight.

Day 19: Move to Gertse
Today you will pass through lakes and then head towards north –west to continue your journey to Gertse. Gertse is the biggest town along the northern route lying near to Ali. You can enjoy scenic beauties of mountains while you are on the road.

Day 20: Trek to Tsochen
Tsochen is a nomadic region located 278km far from Gertse. We can see different wild and domestic animals on the way like antelope, wolves, foxes, wild asses and mules.
It lies on the northern route to Mount Kailash.


Day 21: Drive to Lhatse
Lhatse County, previously known as Nyingri district is positioned on the south bank of Brahmaputra to the east of the shab- chu valley. We will drive to Lhatse from Tsochen and stay there overnight.

Day 22: Move to Shigatse
We will continue the journey to reach to Gyatchu La (5,220 m) which is the highest pass en route to Lhasa. A little far from Gyatchu La exists Shigatse which is one of the most historically important towns in Tibet. We will stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 23: Visit Tashilumpo, Drive to Gyantse
Early in the morning, you will visit Tashilumpo which is located at the bottom of Drolmari, or Mountain of Tara on the western side of Shigatse. Later, after having lunch, you will take drive of2 hrs to Gyantse. You will stay overnight in hotel at Gyantse.

Day 24: Lhasa Visit Khumbum:
You will continue your journey to Lhasa. You will visit Khumbum, Chode Monastery and Gyantse Dzong Palkor before reaching to Lhasa. You will stay overnight in hotel at Lhasa.

Day 25: Sightseeing in Lhasa
You will begin exploring Lhasa by visiting the monastery of Sera. Next, you will move forward to Potala Palace offers a breathtaking view across the city and also has private rooms of the Dalai Lama, many large state rooms and chapels. Later you will visit Holy Drepung Monastery-one of the largest monasteries in Tibet which was built in the 14th century. In the afternoon, you can go shopping. Next you will visit Jokhang Temple.

Day 26: Another day of sightseeing in Lhasa

This day you will visit Norbulinga Palace which is the summer palace of the Dalai Lama. You will then follow the pilgrimage circuit around the ancient streets of the old city near the Barkhor market and return to hotel to stay overnight.

Day 27: Day trip to the city
This day we will move out for a day tour to Lhasa. If the weather condition remains suitable, we may even visit Gyanden. Next you will return from the tour and go for shopping.

Day 28: Flight to Kathmandu
Early in the morning, you will drive from hotel to airport which takes about 2hrs to cover the journey. From Lhasa Airport, you will take a flight to Kathmandu.

Day 29: Free day in Kathmandu
Make your body at ease in Kathmandu. Spend the day shopping souvenirs from Thamel or taking a casual stroll down the street. Enjoy your dinner with a Local cultural show in evening

Day 30: Departure from Kathmandu:
Our team member will assist you in last moment preparation and will drop you off in Tribhuvan International Airport. We bid you farewell and hope to serve you again!!
