Shivapuri Nagarkot Trekking is also known as Shivapuri Nagarkot trek and Shivapuri Nagarkot hike. Shivapuri Nagarkot Trekking is a short package of mere 8 days which begins from Budhanilkantha and ends in Nagarkot which is as popular for sunrise view as for having panoramic views of Everest and other snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas in eastern Nepal.

While joining in Shivapuri Nagarkot Trekking, you will have a chance to experience the serene aura of Budhanilkantha Temple where lies the huge idol of Lord Vishnu (The Protector) in a lake in sleeping position. In a clear day, you will get stunning views of Kathmandu Valley from the north side while Nagarkot serves as the view point for enjoying the breathtaking view of the Annapurna range, Manaslu mountain range, Ganesh Himal range, Langtang Himal, Lakpa Mountain, Melung Tse Himal, Gauri Shankar Himal, Everest and Lhotse Himal.

This trek lets you pass through several Tamang villages that exist at the edge of valley which will give you the insight into lifestyle, culture and religion of the ethnic community of Tamang without having to travel far from the capital city.
The route for Shivapuri Nagarkot Trekking initiates from Budanilkantha and passes through Chisapani and Nagarkot before returning back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
After your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be taken to the hotel by our representatives. You will get a briefing about your travel itinerary afterwards you can rest for the rest of the day.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

After breakfast, our guide will accompany you on the sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. The all day tour includes visit to the Hindu temple complex of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Swyambhunath (UNESCO World Heritage Sites). We will also pay visit to the city of Patan which is famous for its fine art and historic architectures. Finally, in the evening, you will return to the hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Shivapuri
After breakfast, a short drive will take us to Budhanilkantha which is the beginning point for Shivpuri trekking. We will walk through the woods and along the ridge enjoying the scenic views of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang and Jugal Himalaya on the way. Eventually, we will arrive to the flat and grassy land where we will pitch our camp for the night.

Day 04: Trek to Chisapani
We will wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise over the mountains. After having breakfast at around 7 AM, we will begin our trek to the Chisapani (2194m). We will walk along the ridge between the Shivapuri watershed forests for about 4hrs to ultimately reach Chisapani where we will stay overnight.

Day 05: Trek to Nagarkot
We will walk through the Tamang village and cross the forest. We will then continue our journey to Nagarkot (2775m). Nagarkot offers an excellent view of the sunset. We can even have a splendid view of Mount Everest on a clear day. We will spend our night in hotel at Nagarkot.

Day 06: Drive to Kathmandu
We get up early to watch the spectacular sunrise. The scene of the first rays of the sun lighting the Himalayas from Kanchenjunga and Everest in the Far East to Annapurna and Dhaulagiri in the west is simply inexplicable. Later, we will drive back to Kathmandu where we will stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 07: Free day in Kathamndu
Make your body at ease in Kathmandu. Spend the day shopping souvenirs from Thamel or taking a casual stroll down the street. Enjoy your dinner with a local cultural show in evening.
Day 08: Final departure from Kathmandu
It’s the day to say goodbye. Our representative will assist you in last moment preparations and will drive you back to Airport from where you will return to your beloved ones. We hope to see you again. Farewell!!!
