North Gorkha Trek

North Gorkha Trek is the 13-day long trekking package that gets you up from the ancient capital of Gorkha to the top of a hill overlooking the snowy peaks of the Himalayas where the former royal palace known as Gorkha Durbar still exists.
The route for North Gorkha Trek lowers down through rhododendron forest and high meadows to Soti Khola and hit Manaslu circuit before ending in Arughat. We will stroll down through the terraced fields and pass by Khanchok before climbing through wooded area to the highest point of North Gorkha Trek- Darchye (3220m). From Darchye, you can have a panoramic view of over twenty peaks such as Ganesh Himal, Sringi Himal, Buddha Himal, Manaslu Himal and Himalchuli.
North Gorkha Trek follows the trail that passes through several villages which gives you chance to have a close -up look to the lifestyle of locals. Thus it offers you once-in- a-lifetime opportunity to unravel the cultural and natural wonders of the least tried lands of Gorkha.
It's not very difficult but very non-tourist trek, cultural and peaceful. Thus, the tour
must be started only after arranging a fully organized camping.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be taken to your hotel by our representative. You will get a briefing about your travel itinerary afterwards which you can rest for the day.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
On the second day, you will be driven for sightseeing inside Kathmandu Valley which covers temples like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Swayambhunath and Durbar Squares. You will also visit an ancient city of Patan from where you will ride back to our hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Gorkha and trek to Kalikasthan
Early in the morning of third day, we will drive to the west of Kathmandu. Enjoying the scenic beauties on the way, we will cover total 160km distance in about6 hrs to finally arrive to Gorkha (1640m). We will then climb 45minutes up the hill to reach Kalikasthan.

Day 04: Trek to Khanchok (1100m)
Today, we will lower down for about half an hour before hitting flat land. We will pass through series of ups and downs and pass through several villages to finally arrive at Khanchok where we will rest for the day in a camp.

Day 05: Trek to Suli Bhanjyang (1900m)
The trail for today continues through terraces of fields till we reach to the foothill. We will then ascend the hill all the way to Suli Bhanjyang where we will pitch our camp for the night.

Day 06: Trek to Ley Kharka (3300m)
Our destination for the day will be Ley Kharka which is located at 3300m altitude. We will climb the hill further up to arrive to a meadow with lush green vegetation which goes by the name of Ley Kharka. We will stay overnight in a camp at Ley Kharka.

Day 07: Trek to Gumda (2000m)
We will have a gentle lower down of the hill to arrive to the Gumda which is a village located off the main trail along the Manaslu circuit at the gentle northern slope of the famous Dharche Danda. We will spend the night in a camp at Gumda.

Day 08: Trek to Labu Besi (800m)
We will lower down steeply from the hill and follow the rocky path with boulders to finally reach to the Labu Besi which is basically a Gurung Village. We will have a peek into lifestyle and culture of locals before camping in Labu Besi.

Day 09: Trek to Soti Khola (710m)
Today we will follow the trail through a small ethnic village of Magar and Gurung. We will then lower down to Sati Khola. Sati Khola lies in a valley which is famous for honey. We will stay overnight in a camp at the bank of Sati Khola.

Day 10: Trek to Arughat (500m)
We will ascend from Soti Khola to Kyoropan and then lower down to Arkhet River. We will pass through villages of Morder and Simre to River Budhi Gandaki. A little further lies Arughat.

Day 11: Back in Kathmandu
On the 11th day, we will pass through Taribeshi, Golbhanjyang, Nigalpani, Muralibhanjyang and Dhading Bersi to reach Malekhu. We will then join Prithvi Highway and drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 12: Free day in Kathmandu
Today is a free day. Ease yourself up. Spend the day either relaxing or recovering from the strenuous travel or pay a visit to Thamel to buy souvenirs to your beloved ones back home. You will enjoy dinner amid cultural dance performed in your honor.

Day 13: Departure from Kathmandu
The long travel formally concludes this day. You will be assisted in your last moment preparation and transited to Tribhuvan International Airport. We bid you farewell and expect to serve you again!!
