Mardi Himal Trekking

Mardi Himal Trekking is 11-day long trekking which takes you to Mardi Himal which is the most southernly mountain of Mount Annapurna Range in Annapurna Himal Region. Mardi Himal stays tall at 5200m altitude from sea level and is located less than fifteen miles north of Pokhara. Enrolling in Mardi Himal Trekking will let us experience the wildlife like Danphe, Himalayan Thar, Mask Deer, spotted deer, Barking Deer and snow leopard. We will encounter various species of rhododendrons and other valuable herbs on the way.
Indulging in splendid mountain views of Dhaulagiri, Mount Annapurna, Mount Annapurna II, Mount Annapurna III, Mount Annapurna IV, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre, passing through wonderful forests, moving along lush green terraced fields, crossing the roaring river and walking along several Gurung and Magar villages are some of the major attractions of Mardi Himal Trekking.

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival:
You will find our representative there in airport, ready to greet you when you land in International Airport of Kathmandu. He will receive you with your name and take you to our hotel where you will be briefly explained about the itinerary package.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu:
On the second day, you will be taken out for an excursion to some of the chief sites in and around Kathmandu. Visits include temples of Pashupatinath, Swayamvunath and Bauddhanath and Durbar squares of Kathmandu and Patan.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara:
We will take a bus ride and follow Prithvi Highway for 6-7 hrs to reach Pokhara. We will spend our night in a hotel at Pokhara. If you feel like exploring, we can take a boat ride on Phewa Lake.

Day 04: Move to Dhampus:
It takes 30 minutes of drive to reach Phedi. From Phedi, we will have a steep climb through forest for about 2 hrs to reach the village of Dhampus. Dhampus is a major Gurung village which offers spectacular views of the Annapurna Mountain.

Day 05: Trek to Forest Camp:
We will walk through plains for about an hour before crossing forest which is covered in Pine, rhododendron, mountain oak, maple, hemlock and daphnia. Later we will ascend the steep hill to arrive to a small clearing where we will pitch our camp overnight. We will have packed food for lunch as there is no restaurant around.

Day 06: Trek to Low Camp:
Today we will begin the journey by following less steep trail and pass through ridge. We will pass through jungle with occasional view of Annapurna South Himal and Machhapuchhre Himal before finally arriving to Low Camp (2970m). We will stay overnight in Low Camp.

Day 07: Trek to High Camp:
High Camp exists at an altitude less than 4100m above sea level. It takes 4hrs of walk to reach High Camp from Low Camp. We will have an early breakfast and then we will set off for reaching our highest point of the walk. We will stay overnight in High Camp.

Day 08: Rest day at High Camp:
This day is taken as a leisure day. Feel free to explore around or simply relax and stretch your muscles.

Day 09: Trek to Siding Village:
After breakfast, we will begin a leisurely descend through the forest shade and move through the terraced fields before arriving to Mardi Khola. We will walk along the bank of Mardi Khola to reach Siding Village where we will stay overnight.

Day 10: Move to Pokhara:
This day we will pass through river valley and lower down to the pasture land full of green lush vegetation. Later we will pass through several Gurung and Magar villages to reach Lumre. From Lumre, we will drive back to Pokhara where we will stay overnight in a hotel.

Day11: Fly or drive back to Kathmandu:
A 25 minute flight through Manaslu Mountain will take us to Kathmandu. Alternatively, we can take a bus ride for about 6 to 7 hours to reach Kathmandu. We will have our evening dinner in our hotel at Kathmandu.
