Lobuche Peak Climbing

Known as one of the best trekking peaks of Nepal, Pisang Peak exists at 6119m altitude. Although multiple routes are available, climbers usually prefer the route that swirls upward through the southern face. Lobuche Peak is divided as Lobuche East Peak and Lobuche West Peak both of which are bridged together by the prolonged ridge.Tour operators usually offer the combined package of Lobuche Peak with Everest Base Camp as Lobuche Peak is located near to the highest mountain of the world- Mount Everest.
Himalayan Spirit Adventure Trek and Expeditions is regularly operating ‘Lobuche Peak Climbing’ as 18-days package which begins with 35minute ofscenic flight above mountains to Tenzing- Hillary Airport at Lukla from where electrifying trekking experience begins. The trail stretches through Phakding to the trade center of Namche Bazaar and crosses Tengboche, Pheriche and Dughla to reach Lobuche. Conquering the Lobuche summit, we will visit Kalapatthar to observe the enthralling sunset view. Later, we will take a return trip back to Lukla from where we will take flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu:
As soon as you disembark in Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu, you will be received by the representative from Himalayan Spirit Adventure Trek and Expeditions. About half an hour drive through the bustling streets of Kathmandu will convey you to the hotel. A brief explanation of the itinerary package will be followed by the welcome dinner which will be served in your honor.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla Trek to Phakding:
It takes 30 minutes of pleasant flight through the mountains to make it to Tenzing- Hilary Airport at Lukla which is enlisted as the most dangerous airport in the world considering the location, altitude and topography. Once we land at the airport, we will get engaged in the thrilling trekking whereby we will take walk for about 3hours to arrive at Phakding Village where we will be staying overnight.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar:
We will walk along the Dudh Kosi River and pass through Himalayan Pine and Deodar Cedar forests to make it to Namche Bazaar which is the hub of Everest Region. Namche Bazaar is the Trading Post in between Tibet and Nepal where salt, dried meat and other consumable and textile items are bartered. We will stay overnight in a guesthouse at Namche.

Day 04: Rest day at Namche Bazaar:
Acclimatizing is a necessary step that helps in synchronizing your body movements with the high altitude of Namche. Experts recommend a gentle walk for proper acclimatization. So we will walk freely through the busy market area of Namche. If you feel like exploring more, we can arrange a brief visit to Local Village around Namche that offers views of Everest and Lhotse among many other mountains.

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche:
A walk of about 5 hours begins with the path that overlooks mountains and wildlife views. We will descend to Kayangjuma and move through Sansa to cross the bridge at Dudhkoshi River which will take us to Phuki Thena. Bit further from Phukui Thena is located Tengboche which holds the largest Monastery in entire Khumbu Region.

Day 06: Trek to Pheriche:
Early in the morning, we will set out to observe the scenic views of Tobuche peak, Ama Dablam, Nuptse and other peaks. Later, we will walk past several pretty small settlements lined with chortens and Mani Walls to reach to Pangboche Village. To the north of Pangboche is located Pheriche which is a small Sherpa village with its diverse culture adjoining to Khumbu Glacier. We will stay overnight at Pheriche.

Day 07: Trek to Dughla:
Once we enter the Imja Valley, we will lower down to Lobuche River and follow the raised path to Dingboche. Proceeding further through the Khumbu Khola Valley, we will cross Dusa to arrive at Phulung Karpo. Enroute, we will enjoy the beautiful view of majestic Pumori Mountain at the backdrop before crossing the wooden bridge over the stream to Dugla which offers the spectacular views of Thamserku, Nuptse and other mountains.

Day 08: Trek to Lobuche:
We will cross the moraines from Khumbu Glacier and take the escalating trail to Chupki Lhara. We will enjoy the amazing scenes that the terrain offers before lowering down through the glacier. We will walk along the rivulet formed from the melting snow to Lobuche which offers the exotic views of Nuptse, Pumori, Khumbutse and several other mountains.

Day 09: Trek to Kala Patthar and to Lobuche:
9th day of trekking takes us to Kala Patthar where we can enjoy the sunset view. We will enjoy the gratifying views of Everest and several other Mountains before taking a trip back to Gorak Shep from where we will take the downward trail all the way to Lobuche where we will be staying overnight.

Day 10: Trek to Lobuche Base Camp:
We will follow the inclined rocky path to arrive at Lobuche Glacier that offers the scenic views of Amadblam, Thamserku and other mountains. The trail continues through boulders and moraines to the clear area at the foothill of Lobuche Peak where we will set Base Camp and stay overnight.

Day 11: Trek to High Camp:
This day marks the beginning of Lobuche Peak Climbing. We will take the difficult ascent with aid of climbing equipments like cable and peak axe and reach to the Lobuche Peak High Camp located at 5600m altitude. The trail can be tricky at some parts especially due to the falling snow.

Day 12: Trek to Summit and Back to Base Camp:
This is going to be the most challenging day. We will fix the cables wherever we feel it necessary and cut our way through pike axe. Once we reach to the summit, we will enjoy the scenic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Pumori and other mountains. Later, we will return back to Lobuche Base Camp and celebrate our victory.

Day13: Trek from Lobuche Base Camp to Pangboche:
Leaving Lobuche Base Camp behind, we will move along the route to Everest Base Camp which continues through Lobuche and Pheriche to Pangboche where we will be visiting the famed Pangboche Monastery.

Day 14: Trek to Tengboche:
The trek begins by crossing the Dudhkoshi River. We will walk along Dudh Koshi Gorge and pass through verdant woods to arrive at Tengboche which is a beautiful village in the Khumbhu region where the Sherpas reside.

Day 15: Trek to Namche Bazaar:
We will walk past Kyangjuma and head through woods where we will have the opportunity to spot Himalayan Wildlife. Later we will be arriving at an Army Camp prior to our arrival at Namche Bazaar. On the way, we can take a break to visit the typical villages of Khumjung along with Khunde.

Day 16: Trek to Lukla:
The trek continues further downhill as we reach Lukla after almost seven hours of trek. We will be staying in Lukla for the rest of the day and prepare ourselves to board a flight back to Kathmandu the next day.

Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu:
It takes 30minutes of scenic flight to take us back to Kathmandu. Once we arrive at the airport, we will drive through the busy streets of Kathmandu to reach to the hotel where we will stay overnight.

Day 18: Departure:
Our staff will assist in your last moment preparation. You will then be taken back to Tribhuvan International Airport. You will then board a flight which will take you to your next destination. We would like to see you again soon in future. Safe Journey!!!
