Langtang Valley Trek

Langtang Valley Trek is also known as Langtang Valley trekking, Langtang Valley visit, trekking in Langtang Valley, trek in Langtang Valley and cultural tour in Langtang Valley.
Langtang Valley Trek is 11-day package that takes you to Langtang Valley which is located in the Langtang region- the third most popular trekking area in Nepal. Langtang Valley Trek is a short trek into the Himalayan village which is influenced by the Tibetan lifestyle. Although being popular; this region only receives few tourists majority of who are on their way to Annapurna and Everest Mountain trek. The route for Langtang Valley Trek package passes through forests with rhododendron and other alpine flowers, waterfalls and snow- capped peaks into different villages chiefly dominated by Tamang communities thus enabling us to know about their lifestyle and cultural practices. This makes Langtang Valley Trek a perfect blend of natural and cultural trekking.
The route for Langtang Valley Trek initiates from Syabrubesi (1470m) and ascend to the Kyanjin Gompa (3870m) which offers spectacular close-up views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers of Langtang Lirung (7246m), Kimshung (6781m) and Langshisha Ri (6370m). From Kyanjin Gompa, the trail passes through Tamang villages and extends further to high alpine pastures, glaciers and peaks which are located near to Tibet.
The fact which makes Langtang Valley Trek more tempting is its proximity to Kathmandu, being able to reach right into the mountain in mere couple of days and being less crowded which makes the aura more serene.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
You will find our representatives there at the Tribhuvan International Airport, ready to greet you when you land in at the International Airport of Kathmandu. They will receive you with your name and take you to the hotel where you will be briefly explained about the itinerary package.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
On the second day, you will be taken out for an excursion to some of the chief sites in and around Kathmandu. Visits include temples of Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath and Bauddhanath and Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur.

Day 03: Drive to Syabru Besi (1600m)
Syabru Besi is the initial starting point for Langtang trekking. It takes about 8 to 9 hours of drive from Kathmandu to reach Syabru Besi along the Prithvi Highway covering the distance of 117km. The way offers scenic views of mountain and rice terrains. Plenty of shops and lodges crowd the Syabru Besi Bazaar, which is a hub for Langtang trekking.

Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel
The trail departs from main road and descends to a camping area below the town from the track opposite to the Hotel Village View. We will then cross the suspension bridge over Bhote Koshi and climb until Thulo Syabru. Later, after arriving in bridge over Langtang Khola, we will climb further up to set of six lodges at Changtang which is known by the name of Lama Hotel (2480m). We will spend the night at Lama Hotel.

Day 05: Trek to Langtang
From Lama Hotel, we will take a short climb to reach the point of origin of Langtang valley. We can enjoy the scenic beauty of Lirung from the valley. The track passes through forest to reach the pasture land where yak and the wild goats can be seen grazing. We will stay in a camp at Langtang overnight.

Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3860m)
Today’s journey starts from Langtang Valley. We will then ascend uphill to pass through Sindum and Yamphu (3640m). Later we will cross Laja Khola and reach to a viewpoint from where Kyanjin Gompa and icefall from Lirung and Kinshung can be viewed. Ultimately we will lower down to Kyanjin Gompa. Kyanjin is famous for the presence of an old Tibetan style monastery which is the major source of attraction for most of the Langtang trekkers.

Day 07: Rest day in Kyanjin Gompa
We will take rest from strenuous journey and ease our aching muscles. If you like, you can explore around the glacier or take a short trek to the Himalayan Yak pastures. Kyanjin Gompa offers a close- up view of Langtang Lirung, Genjempol and Kenga Himal ranges. Cheese factory, Buddhist monastery and Tsergo Ri (5033m) are other sites worthy visiting.

Day 08: Trek back to Dalai Hotel
Early in the morning, we will begin our travel back. We will pursue the route to Langtang Khola and cross the suspension bridge to visit Langtang village. After a brief rest, we will enter Ghora Tabela. Later we will descend to Dalai Hotel where we will stay overnight.

Day 09: Trek to Syabru Besi (1600m)
We will pass through different Sherpa and Tamang villages and green hills and then lower down to Syabru Besi (1600m) where we will spend our night in a hotel.

Day 10: Back to Kathmandu
It takes about 8 to 9 hours drive to cover 117km from Syabru Besi to Kathmandu. The way offers scenic views of mountain and rice terrains as we return to Kathmandu on the 10th day. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 11: Final departure from Kathmandu
The long travel formally concludes this day. You will be assisted in your last moment preparation and transited to Tribhuvan International Airport. We bid you farewell and expect to serve you again!!!
