Jungle Safari in Bardiya

The largest National Park in Terai Region that stretches from Churia Hills to the territory of Bhabar, Bardiya National Park extends over 968 sq. km. of an area encompassing the fertile plain lands and dense mirk woods that abodes many ferocious beasts, diverse species of tropical flowers and several local and migratory birds which makes the park a piece of paradise in Earth.
Bordered with Churia Hills to the North and Geruwa River to the west, Bardiya National Park is dominated with verdant Sal woods that endow shelter to many rare species of wildlife. Langur, rhesus monkeys, wild dogs, otters, blue bulls, deer, wild boar, hyenas, rare one horned rhinoceros, civets, wild elephant, deer, Black Buck, sloth bears and several other mammals are the residents of Bardiya National Park that gives us abundance of wildlife to gaze at. Gharial and Marsh Mugger crocodiles and Gangetic dolphins are other amazing creatures that have added fame to the park.
The park is blessed with more than 250 species of birds including threatened Bengal florican, Sarus crane, herons and kingfishers that are magnetically attracting bird watchers from around the globe since its establishment.
Nepalgunj is the gateway to arrive at Bardiya National Park premises. Nepalgunj can be accessed either through flight or drive from Kathmandu. The park office is situated 20km southwest along a lush green highway. Hotels and lodges are found in abundance around the park. Having said this, we advise you to have advance booking especially during peak season so that you need not face problem of ‘No accommodation’.
Some of the popular jungle activities include Elephant back riding and Jeep Safari. The woods in the park are secured enough to allow jungle walk as well but then you need the help of expert guide who can tell you all about the wildlife and vegetation that is unique to the Terai Region. Whatever you do, never tread alone in the jungle.

Day 01:
As soon as you disembark at Nepalgunj Airport or Ambasa Bus Stand, you will be received by our representative and conveyed to our resort where our Guest Relations Officer will give briefing about the program to the esteemed guests.
3:00 pm – It will be the time for engaging in the enchanting ‘Tharu Village Tour’ whereby you will be taken to the nearby ethnic Tharu village that endows an opportunity to unravel the culture and way of life of culturally rich Tharu ethnics.
8:00 p.m. – Sumptuous Dinner will be served

Day 02:
5:30 am - Wake Up Call followed by tea/coffee amidst the sweet chirping of birds
6:00 am - Bird Watching Activity where you can have fascinating views of colorful local and migratory birds
7:00 am - Breakfast
7:30 am - Elephant Back Riding that allows the advantage of height and gives better views of diverse wildlife like rare one horned Rhinoceros, Golden Jackal, Barking Deer, Spotted Deer, Stripped Hyena, Swamp Deer, Nilgai, Hog Deer, Black Buck, Wild Boar, Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Wild Dog and many more mammals that have made Bardiya their home.
1:00 p.m. - Lunch
3:00 p.m. - Jungle walk guided by our well informed naturalists and wildlife trackers which allows the perfect opportunity to enjoy the spectacle of many large and small wildlife including mammals and birds. Having knowhow of Photography really comes handy while engaging in this activity
7:00 p.m. – Enjoy Tharu cultural dance that is performed on your honor
8:00 p.m. - Dinner

Day 03:
5:30 am - Wake Up Call followed by either tea or coffee
6:00 am - Bird watching
7:30 am - Breakfast
12:00 p.m. - Lunch
1:00 p.m. – The exhilarating jungle safari meets its end as you pack your stuffs and depart from the National Park premises to head to your next destination.

1:00 p.m. - Lunch
3:00 p.m. - Jungle walk guided by our well informed naturalists and wildlife trackers which allows the perfect opportunity to enjoy the spectacle of many large and small wildlife including mammals and birds. Having knowhow of Photography really comes handy while engaging in this activity while climbing the towers that are scattered throughout the jungle is the great way of eye feasting the natural marvels
7:00 p.m. - Tharu cultural dance
8:00 p.m. - Dinner

Day 03:

5:30 am - Wake Up Call followed by tea/coffee
6:00 am - Bird watching
7:30 am - Breakfast
12:00 p.m. – Have delectable lunch after which relax out in the glades while observing the wildlife
7:00 p.m. - Tharu cultural dance
8:00 pm - Dinner.

Day 04:
5:30 am - Wake Up Call followed by tea/coffee
6:00 am - Bird watching
7:30 am - Breakfast
8:30 am - Jeep safari into the jungle
12:00pm - Lunch
1:00pm - The exhilarating jungle safari meets its end as you pack your stuffs and depart from the National Park premises to head to your next destination.
