Jiri Gokyo Lake Trek is a popular and amazing trekking route in the Everest region. Jiri Gokyo Lake Trek is not a difficult one and neither will you encounter any problems regarding transportations as you have an easy access from Kathmandu to Jiri from old bus station. In addition, you can use your own private car too. Jiri Gokyo Lake Trek provides a new type of trekking experience. It requires only few days of trek to reach Lukla and from there you have to take a flight back to Kathmandu. This Jiri Gokyo Lake Trek will offer the most fabulous trails via the heart of Sherpa village known as ‘Solukhumbu’ area. It is for sure that it provides more than enough chance to explore unexplored beautiful and attractive forests, farming sides plus various monasteries which are constructed at high elevation.
The trekking duration that it takes is of 20 days and the nature of trek grade is moderate. You can go for tea house as a designed accommodation. The maximum altitude is 5545 m where as its minimum altitude is 2100 m. For the trek, it requires minimum and maximum up to 110 people in a group. The trek grade is moderate and quite strenuous. And the best seasons are February, March, April, May, June, September, October, and November though July and August are supposed to be the most appropriate time for hiking. Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu
As soon as you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be transferred to a hotel in Kathmandu. You will then be briefed about the travel itinerary from our representatives. You will then spend the rest of the night at the hotel, preparing and making your mind for the trekking schedule that starts from tomorrow. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
On the second day of the tour package, you will be sightseeing around the Capital city of Kathmandu. Several world heritage sites are present in Kathmandu Valley including the Basantapur Durbar square, Swayambhunath Temple, and many other temple and monuments. You will be visiting the city of Patan which will enchant you with its beautiful famous art and historical architecture. As you return to your hotel, you will get some time to explore the local area. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Jiri (188km) 7-8 hrs
On the 3rd day you will drive to Jiri (188km) early morning taking a bus, enjoying the scenic road along the distance of 188 kilometers from Kathmandu. The journey along the Araniko Highway promises to be a great one as you will enjoy the ride while getting to watch amazing landscapes and surroundings. Jiri is a small town in Dolakha district which serves as the starting point of the Everest Trek. Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 04: Trek to Deurali
The trek starts with steady climbing through a farmland and small towns of Tamang settlement, climbing diagonally across the forest areas in open grasslands before you diminish back to Shivalaya. From this constant ascent you reach to the top of the pass ‘Deurali’ (3000m) where you will spend the night. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 05: Trek to Sete Deurali (2575m)
You have to move ahead from Deurali taking a short walk to the village of Bhandar Sherpa where the wall is full of prayer and small Gompas (Buddhist monasteries), descending to the valley floor in the city by the river of Kenja. The trail climbs steeply to a ridge richly oaks and rhododendrons Sete (2575m) which provides a beautiful hilltop monastery. Visiting the hilltop monastery is the central of attraction of this Sete Deurali trek. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 06: Trek to Sete Junbesi
You will pass through fragrant pine and oak forest to step Lamjura (3500 m) for the first glimpse of Everest. Then, you will go ahead en route for downhill again towards the great people Junbesi Sherpa. Here, you are gifted with wonderful views of mountain peaks like Gaurishankar, Ganesh Himal and Dudh Kunda. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 07: Trek to Nuntala
On the 7th day you will leave Sete Junbesi to trek to Junbesi Nuntala. From here, you begin to climb the ridge Solung, where Everest is easily visible over again and move down to Ringo Khola which is surrounded by Apple orchards. The trail crosses the Traksindola (3071m) before descending another time all the way through the woods to Nuntala. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 08: Trek to Kharikhola
On the 8th day you will leave Junbesi Nuntala for Nuntala Kharikhola. From Nuntala you will keep on with the decline to reach Dudh Koshi River. Then, ascend through Sherpa villages where you will meet several Rai people. To utilize the water of Khari Khola, native Sherpas have terraced the fields and forests outside of the village. Day 09: Trek to Khari Khola Puiyan
On the 9th day you will trek to Khari Khola Puiyan from Nuntala Kharikhola. The path ascends through Sherpa village and a forest which is inhabited by monkeys then winds steeply through the Dudh Koshi to Puiyan canyan. Khari Khola Puiyan is suitable for the trek. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 10: Trek to Phakding
On the 10th day you will trek to Phakding from Khari Khola Puiyan early in the morning after taking breakfast. The trail climbs for about an hour from Puiyan hill. Then, you will encounter another ridge up. After passing or crossing Lukla you will reach Phakding. Everyone may be familiar with this place. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 11: Trek to Namche (3,440m)
After a slight rise to Jhorsalle, the trail passes through a waterfall. Throughout the day, you will pass villages which intersperse with the magnificent forests of Rhododendron, giant fir trees and Magnolia. And on the way to walk you will be rewarded (weather permitting) with the first glimpse of Kusum Kanggru (6369m), Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8,848 m) and Nuptse (7879 m). After few steep climbing, the trail leads you to the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar (3440m). Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 12: Acclimatization day in Namche
Today will be the day when you will acclimatize yourself to the altitude and the changing environmental conditions. Besides resting, you will also, however, hike up to Syangboche on your way to the Everest Hotel which happens to be the hotel situated at the highest altitude in the world. View of Mount Everest is quite clear and stunning from the Everest hotel. Hiking for few hours from there, you can visit the village of Khumjung which is worth seeing for there is a popular museum. Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 13: Trek to Phortse Thanga (3500m)
On the 13th day you will be leaving Namche along the direction of the Gompa and go round right after the huge rocks carved with Buddhist images. The trek leads up to the hill of Khumjung and descends to the valley until you reach Dudh Koshi River to Phortse Thanga (3,500 m), which offers the superb views of Thamserku (6608 m) and Kangtewa. Overnight stay in a tented camp.

Day 14: Trek to Machermo (4410m)
This will be another short day trip intended to simplify the acclimatization related with altitude. The route passes through the middle of the forest offering the first view of the Cho peak (8153 m), hiking through the forest of Rhododendron, Juniper and large conifers appear as an elevation increases to the beautiful walk in the spring. The trail passes through Kharkas and summer settlements to Dole. After onwards you will work through a rocky terrain dotted with dwarf around the Rhododendrons. Overnight stay in a tented camp.

Day 15: Trek to Gokyo Lake (4750m)
The trail climbs through a hill for an excellent view comprising the valley and Kengtega Cho Oyu descending into a river. Again you will climb steeply up in the terminal moraine of the glacier Ngozumpz. A few lakes are on the way and finally you reach Gokyo (4,750 m), which is the collection of stone houses and walls of grasses on the shores of the lake. The views of the mountains in the Gokyo region are spectacular. A two-hour climb Gokyo Ri (5350m), the small peak on the lake with panoramic views of Cho Oyu, Kang Gyachung, Lhotse, Makalu, and Tawache Cholatse. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 16: Explore Gokyo Ri and trek back to Dole
The trip to Gokyo Peak usually begins early in the morning. The climb is quite steep for the first 30 minutes which will take an hour to get to the top with the traditional prayer flags. This is the place from where you can have a magnificent view of the high peaks, from west to east. They are Mount Cho Oyu (8153 m), Gyachung Kang (7922 m), Everest (8,848 m), Lhotse (8,501 m) and Makalu. Additionally, on the way to the offspring you can enjoy magnificent views of the Gokyo Lake. Exploring Gokyo Ri you will be trekking back to Dole, getting pleasure from the wonderful views. Overnight stay in a tented camp.

Day 17: Trek to Dole
On the 17th day of the trekking itinerary package you will move to Dole taking a breakfast. In the afternoon, you can walk down to Dole exploring different things on the way to it. After taking breakfast you will walk to Khumjung where you can find the largest Sherpa settlement with an opportunity to see the lifestyle of the real Sherpas, high school funded by Sir Edmund Hillary along with their cultural activities. You can take an advantage visiting a monastery, monastery where they have preserved Yeti’s skull. Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 18: Trek to Phakding
On the 18th day, the trail leads back to Namche Bazaar, stopping and continuing to descend through the same route and at the stop on the way to lunch in an hour Jorsale village and continue the walk to Phakding. Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 19: Back to Lukla (2880m)
On the 19th day you will drive back to Lukla (2880m), which is a beautiful and easy walk and in addition it provides the view to Kusum Kangaru, blue pine along with Rhododendron forest from Namche. This is the last day of the trek in a bustling city so enjoy dinner with the team members. Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 20: Flight to Kathmandu
On the 20th day you will be back from Lukla to Kathmadu taking the flight. It’s all up to you whether you want to stay one more day or willing to return your own hometown. If you want to depart on this day then you will be transferred into Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.
