Island Peak

Total 33peaks have been officially opened by Nepal Government for climbing till date. Among all these Peaks, Island Peak has always been the most preferred peak to climb in Nepal. 300 groups of climbers are said to try their luck in climbing the Island Peak.
Island Peak is positioned to the top of Chukung glacier which connects two famous snow-clad mountains of Ama Dablam and Lhotse. Since Island Peak is located near to Everest Mountain, it can be combined with Everest Base Camp Trek or Kalapatthar trek. Kalapatthar is famous for allowing the beautiful sunset scene. Many climbers wish to join the ‘Island Peak with Everest Base Camp Trek’ package.
Climbing Island Peak tests your endurance level as you embark on the difficult glacier climb which will take you above 20,000ft in the heart of Everest Region.
Himalayan Spirit Adventure Trek and Expeditions is regularly organizing ‘Island Peak Climbing’ as 19-days itinerary package. We are flexible with our itinerary and the package can easily be shortened or lengthened to suit your budget and needs. Island Peak Climbing encompasses walking through the scenic Dudh Koshi valley. The trek takes us through High land villages of Sherpa community where we will get the chance to visit artistic monasteries and observe the culture, traditions and ways of living. We will later return back through Namche to Lukla from where we will take the flight back to Kathmandu. March to May and September to December are the best months to join the challenging Island Peak Climbing.
