Gorkha to Pokhara Trek is a complete package which pursues the trail that goes through lower altitude and passes through terraced field and river gorges to lead to multiple ethnical villages of Chhetri, Gurung and Tamang that cling to terraced mountain slopes. Thus Gorkha to Pokhara Trek acquaints the trekkers with rural Nepalese communities in the Central Nepal Mountain Area. You will also have a wonderful experience of having the kaleidoscopic views of the majestic Mountains.
Gorkha to Pokhara Trek takes you through the rough terrain with high ridges and deep river valleys all the way to Begnas Lake and Rupa Lake which is located near to Pokhara. Gorkha to Pokhara Trek is also known by alternative names as Gorkha Trek, Gorkha Trekking, Cultural trek in Nepal and Gorkha Treks.
Gorkha to Pokhara Trek initiates from a picturesque six hours drive to Gorkha and ends at Pokhara from where you will drive back to Kathmandu. The road from Gorkha to Pokhara is the ancient one (built in 18th C) which links western part of Nepal to the Central Nepal. A walk of 25 kilometers from the main highway connecting Pokhara and Kathmandu will bring you to ancient Gorkha.
It is highly preferable that this trek be done in late September to early October when the terraced fields are studded with rice plants.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu:
After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be taken to your hotel by our representatives. You will get a briefing about your travel itinerary afterwards which you can rest for the day.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
On the second day, you will be driven for sightseeing inside Kathmandu Valley which covers temples like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Swayambhunath and Durbar Squares. You will also visit an ancient city of Patan from where you will ride back to our hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Gorkha & trek to Gorkha Durbar
Early in the morning of third day, we will drive to the west of Kathmandu. Enjoying the scenic beauties on the way, we will cover total 160km distance in about 6 hrs to finally arrive to Gorkha (1640m). We will then walk to Gorkha Palace which is located about 1000ft above Gorkha Bazaar.

Day 04: Trek from Gorkha to Chyapitar
Early in the morning, we will pursue the track through terraced fields and pass through villages to arrive to the plain land which is named Chyapitar. We will stay overnight in a camp at Chyapitar.

Day 05: Trek to Chepetar
This day’s trek begins from Chyapitar after having breakfast. We will descend to the forest and have a gentle climbing to reach to the flat land of Chepetar. We will pitch our camp in this land overnight.

Day 06: Trek to Phale Sangu
The trail for today continues through terraces of fields till we reach to the foothill. We will then ascend the hill all the way to Phale Sangu where we will pitch our camp for the night.

Day 07: Trek to Khundi
After having breakfast, we will descend from hill and pass through pine forest before arriving to Khundi where we will pitch the camp for staying overnight.

Day 08: Walk to Baglung Pani
Today we will lower down from the hill and walk along the edge for a while before crossing the river to finally arrive to Baglung Pani where we will pitch our camp overnight.

Day 09: Journey to Karphu Tar
On the 9th day, we will cross the river and pass through plain land to reach a valley. A little far from the valley is located a meadow with green lush vegetation which is known by the name of Karphu Tar. We will stay in a camp in Karphu Tar overnight.

Day 10: Trek to Rupa Lake
We will descend from Karphu Tar to arrive at Rupa Lake- the third biggest lake in Pokhara which abodes 36 species of water-birds and exists at Rupakot in Lekhnath Municipality. We will stay in a camp at the edge of Rupa Lake tonight.

Day 11: Trek to Pokhara
Pokhara city is located about 15km far from Rupa Lake. Vehicles like bus, taxi and cycle are available from the lake which will take us to Pokhara. It takes about twenty minutes of ride to take us to Pokhara.

Day 12: Drive to Kathmandu
This day we will drive back to Kathmandu which is located 200km west of Pokhara. Prithvi Highway connects Kathmandu with Pokhara. It takes about 5hrs to cover the length of 200km to return back to Kathmandu.

Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu
Today is a free day. Ease yourself up. Spend the day either relaxing or recovering from the strenuous travel or pay a visit to Thamel to buy souvenirs to your beloved ones back home. You will enjoy dinner amid cultural dance performed in your honor.

Day 14: Final departure from Kathmandu
The long travel formally concludes this day. You will be assisted in your last moment preparation and transited to Tribhuvan International Airport. We bid you farewell and expect to serve you again!!
