Gokyo Cho La Pass with Island Peak Climbing is a combination of Gokyo Cho La Pass trek and Island Peak Climbing. Gokyo Cho La Pass is a wonderful trekking destination in the region of Mount Everest and has been a point of attraction for all the trekkers who come to Nepal for trekking purpose. Similarly, Island Peak Climbing is another popular peak climbing destination in the Everest region. 6,189 meters tall Island Peak is also called as Imja Tse. Hence, Gokyo Cho La Pass with Island Peak Climbing itinerary at the All Trek Nepal is a newly devised itinerary which is a merger of both Gokyo Cho La Pass and Island Peak Climbing. This itinerary will cover both Cho La Pass and Island Peak Climbing and you will get the chance to experience the thrills of adventure, natural sightseeing and also the thrill of peak climbing in Nepal.
Island Peak is the situated at the top of Chukung glacier, connecting Ama Dablam and Lhotse mountain peaks. Though there are many other popular mountain peaks in the Everest region, Island Peak is the most sought after trekking destination because of its geographical and topographical structure. More than 300 different groups of trekkers and mountaineers make an attempt to scale this peak every year. Besides climbing Island Peak, you will also have the opportunity to explore the amazing region of Gokyo Valley and also the Cho La Pass. Everest Base Camp and the popular region of Kala Patthar is another highlight of the mixed itinerary. The most appropriate time for climbing Island Peak is between the months of March- May and September-December.
Gokyo Cho La Pass with Island Peak Climbing starts from the Capital city of Kathmandu when you take a mountain flight to Lukla, flying above the mountains and enjoying the 30 minutes of flight. Upon landing at the Lukla Airport, your real journey starts when you start hiking to Phakding and Namche Bazaar.

Day 01–Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our team members and representatives and then be transferred to the Hotel where you will be briefed in short about the travel itinerary. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 02- Flight to Lukla, trek to Phakding
On the second morning, you will take a flight from Kathmandu to the Lukla Airport, alternately also known as the Tenzing-Hillary Airport. The 30 minutes of mountain flight to Lukla will be refreshing as you will fly above the mountains and finally land at the Lukla Airport. Also, Lukla Airport is considered as one of the most dangerous airports in the world. After landing at Lukla, you will take light breakfast and start your trek. In around 3 hours, you will reach Phakding village where you will be staying overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 03– Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
You will resume your trek on the third morning after having breakfast at Phakding. You will then follow the trail along the Dudh Koshi River while ascending through the Himalayan Pine and Deodar forests. After few hours of trekking, you will reach the destination for the day which is the popular village of Namche Bazaar in the Everest region. Namche Bazaar is popular among both Nepali and Tibetan traders as it has been a historic trading point since hundreds of years. It is also known as the gateway to Everest. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Namche.

Day 04- Rest at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization
You will spend the fourth day of the trek in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization. Acclimatization is very important when it comes to high altitude trekking in the terrains of Nepal and hence we take rest and acclimatize to the changing conditions and the rising altitude. Besides resting, you can also visit the local Bazaar of Namche or the surrounding Sherpa villages. If you still feel like doing some hiking, you can also hike to the Everest Hotel situated at around 3800 meters of altitude. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 05- Trek to Tengboche (3,867m)
From Namche, we then make our way towards Tengboche (3,867m) which is another beautiful village in the Khumbu region of Everest. Tengboche is particularly famous for the presence of a Buddhist monastery. Many believe that the monastery was built in 1923.Tengboche offers the panoramic sight of the mountains in the northern range. Tengboche is also popular because it is the birth place of record-setting mountaineer Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 06- Trek to Pheriche (4,371m)
The next day, after having breakfast in the morning, we resume our trek and head towards Pheriche. Pheriche is another village in the Khumbu Region situated at an altitude of 4,371 meters. It is famous for trekkers as well as climbers as it is the stop point for them where they can have some rest. Most of the men from this area are engaged in the profession of trekking as a trekkers, guides and porters. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 07- Trek to Lobuche (4910m)
On the 7th day, we will head towards Lobuche after having breakfast in Pheriche. Lobuche is a beautiful place with some wonderful view of the beautiful mountains. Lobuche is precisely located within two major Peaks namely Lobuche Far East and Lobuche East. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 08- Trek to Gorakhshep (5164m)
Gorakhshep is an interesting destination on the eighth day as you resume your trek from Lobuche after having breakfast in the morning. It is situated at around 5164 meters of altitude and it will be the first time you will be crossing above 5000 meters during the itinerary. Gorakshep is also the residential territory for large number of ravens. Gorakhshep is the final village before you enter into the territory of the Mount Everest. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 09- Trek to Dingboche (4,530m)
The next day, you will be moving to Dingboche as it is another famous place in the Khumbu region where all the trekkers and climbers take rest before they start trekking and peak climbing to the Mount Everest and other nearby Himalayas. People who live in Dingboche have their main occupation as tourism, running lodges and guesthouses. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 10: Trek to Gokyo Valley
You will be trekking to the amazing and beautiful valley of Gokyo on the tenth day from Dingboche. Gokyo Valley is a very popular place in the Everest trekking itinerary for the natural beauty of the Gokyo Valley, Gokyo Lake and also the Gokyo Peak also called as Gokyo Ri. After reaching the Valley, you can explore around the region, take pictures of the Himalayas. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 11: Cross Cho La Pass
On the 11th day, you will be crossing the Cho La Pass after starting your journey from the Gokyo Valley. Cho La Pass (5415m) is a difficult pass in the Everest region and it needs great physical strength and stamina to cross and overcome this Pass. However, it will be full of adventure and thrill. After crossing the Pass, you will set up a temporary camp and spend the night there.

Day 12: Trek to Chhukhung
On the 12th day, you will move to Chhukhung early in the morning after taking your breakfast. We need to walk a little bit more than the usual days as it a long days trek. Chukkang is just a little bit far from the Island Peak Base Camp. Overnight stay in a tented camp.

Day 13: Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (6189m)
We start early in the morning on the 13th day as we aim to reach the Base Camp of the Island Peak. We eat breakfast in the morning and start our trek to the Island Peak Base Camp. Though Island Peak (6189 m) is not that huge peak, it is very difficult to climb the peak for several of reasons including high altitude sickness. You can also spot a glacier Lake from the Island Peak Base Camp. Overnight stay in a tented camp.

Day 14: Trek to High Camp
The next day, we will hike further up to High Camp from the Island Peak Base Camp. You will be walking for 4 hours and be ready for the High Camp and put together preparation for the next day so that you can get to the summit next day. Overnight stay at tented camp.

Day 15: Trek to Summit-Island Peak
Day 15 is the most important day in the itinerary as you will scale the Island Peak from where you can view the views of mountains like Mount Pumori (7161m), Mount Lhotse (8516m), Mount Makalu (8463m), Lobuche (6145m), and others. These are the most fantastic views that you can see from the summit. You will spend some time at the top of the summit and then again get back to the Base Camp. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 16: Extra day to attempt summit
Day 16th is an extra day for attempting climb to the summit. If you are unable to ascend the summit in a single day, then you will use this reserve day to complete peak climbing and returning back to the Base Camp. This is like a bonus day for the exploration. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 17: Trek to Tengboche
On the 17th day, you will resume your downhill trek from the Island Peak. Trek to Tengboche will take around 4 hours. Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 18: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
The next day, you resume your trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m). On the way you can even take a break to visit the typical villages of Khumjung along with Khunde. You can even visit the monasteries which are very unique in its structure. Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 19: Trek Lukla (2850m)
The trek continues further downhill as we reach Lukla after almost seven hours of trek. You will be staying in Lukla for the rest of the day and prepare yourself to board a flight back to Kathmandu the next day.

Day 20– Fly back to Kathmandu
On the second day of the tour package, you will take a flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla enjoying the mountain flight. The rest of the time in Kathmandu, you will be shopping and buying souvenirs to your loved ones. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 21: Departure to TIA, “Farewell!"
On the last day of the itinerary tour package, you will be transferred to the International Airport in Kathmandu fro where you will take a flight back to your home country.
