Upon your landing, the local tour guide will welcome you with Hada- a Tibetan style greeting. After immigration formalities, you will be driven to your hotel in Lhasa (3650m). You will see Yarlong Tsangpo River, Big Buddha engraving on the hill and colorful prayer flags along the way. After about 45 minutes of drive you will arrive to a hotel where you will stay for the night.
Lhasa is located 3650m above sea level. So try acclimatizing yourself into the high altitude of Tibet. Drinking water, having fruits and getting rest can help encounter high altitude sickness.

You will officially begin the Tour on the second day. To begin with, you will pay a visit to the Sera Monastery which stands majestically ever since it was erected in 1419 on a hillside with a colorful architecture. Sera in Tibetan tongue refer to Wild Rose Garden which suggests there once used to grow wild roses in the area. While at Sera Monastery, we can see the monks engaged in lively discussion and also the collection of Buddhist scriptures, ancient murals, Thankas, statues and scriptures written in gold dust, scroll of wonderful paintings and tapestries. Many Buddhists come here for pilgrimage from all over Tibet. Next, you will head for Norbulinka Palace- the summer palace of Dalai Lama which possesses the finest garden in Tibet. Before wrapping off, you will conclude the journey for the day by visiting the Jokhang Temple which acts as the spiritual center of the village. In the end, you will return to your hotel following the pilgrimage circuit around the ancient streets of the old city near the Barkhor market. You will then rest at the hotel.

Day 03: Another day of sightseeing in Lhasa
Today you will explore the Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery. The 17th century Potala Palace which stands tall at 3650m altitude offers a breathtaking view of Lhasa’s city area including Tibetan architecture thus making it the preferred place for photo shooting. The palace contains private rooms, many large state rooms and chapels used previously by Dalai Lamas. You might experience slight shortness of breath while climbing up to Potala Palace due to exertion. If so, take a brief rest.
Next, you will take a Tibetan tour to Dreprung which is one of the largest monasteries in Tibet. Legend says Dreprung which was built in the 14th century used to shelter around 10,000 monks but as of now, only a few hundred monks and nuns are living here. You will be free in afternoon for which shopping would be the great idea.
