Chulu East Peak climbing is a well-known and popular peak climbing in the popular Annapurna Region of Nepal. As we all know, Annapurna Region in Nepal is quite popular both for peak climbing and trekking in Nepal. Annapurna Circuit trekking is considered as one of the most popular and widely followed trekking destinations in the world. Likewise, peak climbing in the Annapurna region is also equally popular among the tourists and adventure seekers. Chulu East Peak is a beautiful peak that is situated nearby the beautiful Annapurna Mountain Peak. Chulu East is situated at a moderate altitude of 6584 meters above the sea level. It is located above the beautiful Manang Valley and during the course of Chulu East Peak Climbing, you will also be blessed with the spectacular mountain views of Mount Annapurna, Mount Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Gangapurna and many other incredible peaks of the Annapurna region.
Chulu East Peak Climbing starts from Besisahar, the district headquarters of Lamjung district. First, you will drive until Besisahar from the Capital city of Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway enjoying the scenic drive to the village town of Besisahar. It will take around 6 to 7 hours of drive from Kathmandu before you reach Besisahar. Your official peak climbing itinerary then begins from Besisahar when you start hiking on the trail along the Marshyangdi River. The trail further leads to Pisang Village departing from the main route. From Pisang Village you will then arrive at the Base Camp of the Chulu East Peak. Chulu East Peak Climbing is a moderate type of peak climbing and as you do not feel that much exhausted and uneasy, you can hence easily continue the trek towards Chulu Peak. You will however need to have decent physical stamina and strength to ascend the Chulu East Peak. If you have prior peak climbing experience, then that will certainly help. As you will be accompanied by professional Sherpa guides during the course of your peak climbing journey, you do not need to worry about anything. The total duration of Chulu East Peak Climbing is 21 days and the means of accommodation is lodge and hotels.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be received by our representatives at the Airport and then be transferred to the hotel in Kathmandu. You will be briefed about the travel itinerary in short and then spend the rest of the time at the Hotel.

Day 02: Preparation for climbing and sightseeing in Kathmandu
Next day, you will be preparing for the peak climbing which will start from the next day onwards. You will arrange the necessary equipments that are needed for peak climbing and the documents regarding the permission of peak climbing will be arranged by us. You don’t need to worry about that. After that you will sightsee around Kathmandu for the rest of the time. You will visit the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur and also visit Swyambhunath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, among other temples and monuments for the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (760m)
On the third day of the itinerary, you will have breakfast in the morning at the hotel and then drive to Besisahar from Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway. It will be around 6-7 hours of journey from Kathmandu during which you will enjoy the picturesque and scenic drive along Trishuli River. Besisahar, the district headquarters of Lamjung, is a small and beautiful town located along the shores of Marshyangdi River. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 04: Trek to Bahundanda (1398m)
Your official peak climbing itinerary starts from the fourth day onwards when you will trek from Besisahar to Bahundanda. The trek is gentle and slowly gains altitude as you climb up the trail. Bahundanda is a small and beautiful village in Lamjung and you will stay at a guesthouse overnight after reaching the village.

Day 05: Trek to Chamje (1410m)
On the 5th day of the itinerary, you will hike further up from Bahundanda to Chamje which is located at 1410 meters of altitude. It will be a short and comfortable walk on this day and you will also get the chance to mingle with the local villagers of the region during the course of trek. In between, you will also cross past a suspension bridge over Marshyangdi River. After that you will ascend to Jagat crossing waterfalls on the way. Then, continuing an hour’s of walk you will arrive at Chamje. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 06: Trek to Bagarchhap (2080m)
Next day, you will resume your trek from Chamje to Bagarchhap (2080m). You will ascend from Chamje after taking breakfast in the morning at the guesthouse. After continuing along the trail for hours, you will then take your lunch on the way. Bagarchhap is a typical Tibetan village where you can see rich ancient architectural carvings and monuments. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 07: Trek to Chame (2720m)
The altitude continually increases as you further walk from Bagarchhap. You will ascend as the altitude increase from Bagarchhap to Chame. You will cover around 700 meters on the day and you will have to walk for several hours before you reach village of Chame. Before reaching Chame, you will have to cross pass thick forest and a suspension bridge. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek to Pisang (3060m)
Continuing along the trail on the 8th day, you will cross several rivers and settlement areas of the local villagers. After following the trail along the banks of Marshyangdi in Bartang, you will cross Manang Valley and head towards Pisang. In Pisang (3060m), you will get to see incredible rock walls and also various landscapes including hills and the mountains. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 09: Trek to Ngawal Village (3600m)
On the 9th day of the itinerary, you will trek to Ngawal Village (3600m) after taking breakfast in the morning. Ngawal is a beautiful village where you can explore more and talk with the local villagers and inquire about their way of life. You will also find noticeable differences between Pisang and Ngawal Villages. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 10: Trek to Base Camp
On the 10th day you will trek all the way to the Base Camp from Ngawal village and it will require a lot of energy as well as concentration while walking. So, you will move and trek to Base Camp only after taking breakfast in the morning. You will experience some of the real adventures of trekking on the 10th day of the itinerary as you near towards the Chulu East Base Camp. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 11: Acclimatization in Base Camp
The next day, you will be resting at the Base Camp itself, acclimatizing to the high altitude and the changing environmental conditions. Acclimatization is very important during high altitude trekking and peak climbing. Hence, you need to be careful about acclimatization before you proceed ahead with the climbing. You can however stroll and walk around the Base Camp, take pictures of the panoramic views of the mountains and the landscapes. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 12: Trek to High Camp
On the 12th day you will ascend to the High Camp from the Base Camp. Trekking to High Camp is a challenging activity and hence you will climb and trek slowly keeping in mind the problem that might arise due to high altitude sickness. The panoramic view of the mountains including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, among others, can be seen in an amazing manner from the High Camp. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 13: Summit Chulu East and back to Base Camp
On the 13th day you are close to your dream of ascending Chulu East Peak, after waiting for almost two weeks. You will start from the High Camp early in the morning and set off on your journey to climbing the peak. After several hours of climbing, amidst difficulties and also thrill and adventure, you will finally arrive at the summit of the Chulu East peak. After enjoying the amazing view from the top and spending some time there, you will return towards the Base Camp. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

Day 14: Trek to Manang (3440m)
For the trek to Manag, there consists two ways both routes can be followed. Afterward there is Jharsang Khola which should be crossed. There is a Gurung village known as Khangsar where you can find a small monastery and prayer flags. Through this trek you will get an opportunity to view magnificent view of Annapurna Himal. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 15: Trek to Yak Kharka (4200m)
You will take a walk throughout the shady colored settlement of Manang following the path of stone walls and sandy path. You will arrive to Yak Kharka or Koche village. Koche is famous for grazing animals. In the pasture land grasses and varieties of seasonal flowers are found. It has glaciers and other water resources. It makes this place very attractive. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 16: Trek to Throng Phedi (4450m)
Today you will carry on to the direction to Throrong Phedi (4450m)After reaching there you would not be able to view any trees. Then, you will ascend to the Base Camp. Throng Phedi is popular as a tiny village situated near the Marshandi River. Below the river there is a huge meadow land. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 17: Trek to Throng La Pass (5416m)
On the 17th day you will trek to Throng La Pass (5416m) from Throng Phedi. Comparatively trek to Throng La Pass is a tough and difficult trek. The total duration to ascend the Throng La Pass takes 7 hours. Then, you will descend towards Muktinath, a holy pilgrim place. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 18: Trek to Jomsom (2750m)
On the 18th day of the itinerary, you will trek to Jomsom (2750m) from Throng-La Pass. It will be an amazing down climbing from the Pass, and you will arrive at Jomsom after several hours of climbing down the trail, enjoying the trek along the barren landscape. Jomsom is a popular small town in Mustang which is crowded round the year by the tourists and travelers. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Jomsom.

Day 19: Flight to Pokhara
The next day, you will have breakfast in the morning at the guesthouse and then catch a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. The 30-minute mountain flight from Jomsom to Pokhara will be a memorable one as you will enjoy the scenic view of the mountains and the neighboring landscapes. After your landing at the Pokhara Airport, you will then be transferred back to the hotel. You can then rest for the rest of the time, or else sightsee around the Pokhara Valley, visiting the popular places and sites inside the lake city. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 20: Flight to Kathmandu
On the second last day of the itinerary, you will catch a flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu. In about less than an hour, you will reach the Capital city and then you will be transferred back to the hotel in Kathmandu. You can rest for the remaining time at the hotel. However, if you feel like travelling, you can stroll around the streets of Thamel in the evening and buy souvenirs to your loved ones back home. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 21: Departure!!!!
On the last day of the itinerary, you will be transferred to the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu from the hotel from where you will catch a flight to your home country or to your next desired destination.
