Annapurna Royal Trekking

Annapurna Royal Trekking is also known as Annapurna Royal Trek. Annapurna Royal Trekking is 11-days long package that blends perfectly well splendid mountain viewing in Annapurna Region with exploring wildlife in Chitwan National Park. This route was followed by Prince Charles along with his 90 people in the early eighties hence the name Royal Trekking.
The trekking route begins from Kalikasthan ridge, about 25km far from Pokhara. We will pass through rhododendron forest, river, meadows and several Gurung and Magar Villages before rafting in Trishuli River. Annapurna Royal Trekking offers splendid Himalayan scenery of mountains like AnnapurnaI, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, Nilgiri, Lamjung Himal and Tukuche Peak. Later we will wander through thickets of Chitwan National Park where we can spot rare one horned rhinoceros. We can either take elephant ride or take a jeep safari. We can even get the rare opportunity to feed and bath elephants.

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival:
You will find our representative there in airport, ready to greet you when you land in International Airport of Kathmandu. He will receive you with your name and take you to our hotel where you will be briefly explained about the itinerary package.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu:
On the second day, you will be taken out for an excursion to some of the chief sites in and around Kathmandu. Visits include temples of Pashupatinath, Swayamvunath and Bauddhanath and Durbar squares of Kathmandu and Patan.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara:
We will take a bus ride and follow Prithvi Highway for 6-7 hrs to reach Pokhara. We will spend our night in a hotel at Pokhara. If you feel like exploring, we can take a boat ride on Phewa Lake.

Day 04: Move to Kalikasthan:
After breakfast, we will drive to Vijayapur Khola from where our trekking begins. We will walk for about an hour through flat rice fields and then cross the river. After crossing the river, the road begins to ascend to Kalikasthan. Lunch will be served in half of the climb. After checking Kalikasthan, we will pitch our camp on top of the grassy land of Kalikasthan.

Day 05: Trek to Syanglung:
After breakfast, we will start walking through the villages. We will walk on the crest of the hill which provides good views of the Annapurna Himal and Lamjung. A little far from the crest is located Syanglung where we will stay overnight.

Day 06: Trek to Chisopani:
Today we will walk through the series of ups and downs and pass through Gurung village, rhododendron and Sal forest to reach Chisopani. Chisapani is the perfect place to indulge yourself in the Himalayan panoramic view. Dhaulagiri which exists to the west of Annapurna can be viewed from this point.

Day 07: Travel to Pokhara:
We will walk half way down hill to reach Rupatal and from there we will climb for about 200 meters to arrive at Sundare danda. From there we will head for Begnas. Later we will drive for Pokhara where we will stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 08: Pokhara - Rafting – Chitwan:
After breakfast, we will drive for about 2hrs to reach the Trishuli rafting site. We will raft in Trishuli River which is a great beginner river. Lunch will be served after 3/4 hours of rafting on the river. After lunch, we will drive to Chitwan National Park where we will stay overnight.

Day 09: Chitwan National Park:
Early in the morning, after having tea, we will walk around the park and if we are lucky we might encounter some wildlife. We will visit to elephant stable and also will perform canoeing down the Rapti River. Later we will visit Tharu Village and watch Tharu Stick Dance. We will also perform elephant- back safari.

Day 10: Drive to Kathmandu:
It takes about6 hrs of bus ride to reach Kathmandu from Chitwan. We will enjoy evening dinner in our hotel at Kathmandu.

Day 11: Free day in Kathmandu:
Make your body at ease in Kathmandu. Spend the day shopping souvenirs from Thamel or take a casual stroll down the street. Enjoy your dinner with a Local cultural show in evening.
